Mission
Teams
Florida
Hospital Waterman
On
June 2, 2006, 30 volunteer employees from Florida Hospital Waterman
in Eustis, Florida, came to help construct a brand new facility
to provide better healthcare to the community of Pandy Town in Oakridge.
This mission team not only paid their own way here but the hospital
also donated over $18,000 for the new building. Thanks to these
kind hearted volunteers we now have the new facility.
Florida
Hospital Heartland Division
On
July 2, 2006 another mission team from Florida Hospital Heartland
Division arrived to make advances towards completion of the public
health center. This team worked on installation of the roof, plumbing
and partially completed the exterior.
Forest
Lake SDA Church
July
20, 2006 the final group of young adults arrived from Forest Lake
Seventh-day Adventist Church in Apopka, Florida, to complete the
building and they got pretty close.
Florida Hospital Fish Memorial
This
team raised over $15,000 towards materials to construct the French
Harbour clinic, and sent many boxes of medical supplies. They arrived
June 10th, 2007 and worked diligently for a week to help construct
the new health center.
Make
It Count & South Coast Medical Center
Arrived
June 24, 2007, one of our largest groups of volunteers to date,
38. Make It Count Foundation (Sebring, FL) raised over $20,000 for
the project. Some team members came all the way from Laguna Beach,
CA. These two teams worked non-stop to make progress on the new
facility and we couldn't be more appreciative.
Florida Hospital Celebration
On
July 15, 2007 doctors, nurses and hospital administrators all on
Roatan to literally build us a new means to deliver quality healthcare.
In addition to their labor and donations ($20,000), a beautiful
mural was painted onto the wall just outside the new waiting room
window.
