Holiday Extravaganza 2008 Harley-Davidson Raffle The raffle took place at Roatan's Annual Fishing Tournament in West End, Sept. 14, 2008. It has been a long year of wonderful but hard work for the RWC, they dedicated themselves to raising funds for our cause. On Dec. 15, 2007,
Christmas spirit filled the streets of French Harbour as Santa and
Mrs. Claus rode in on a fire truck, the parade continued with children
on their bicycles, a cheerfully decorated golf cart, yuletide floats,
and prancing horses ended the festive display. After the parade,
children filled the sports court to meet and take their picture
with Santa and enjoy the games along with chances to win lots of
prizes. The night's sky exploded with bright glittering lights &
sparkling colors from the fireworks, which were the highlight of
the Christmas Festival. We thank all our sponsors and event coordinators
for our second successful year of organizing this event. 
The
Roatan's Women's Club chose LFF as their choice charity and has
committed to raise funds over the course of a year to purchase much
needed medical supplies in support of LFF efforts to improve our
standard of healthcare. This exciting night was a one of kind occurrence
on the island and a first of it's type in fundraising.....Casino
Night yielded over $5000. We look forward to RWC's calendar of fundraisers

This year the Roatan International Shrimp Festival was hosted by
Coral Cay Marine & Nature Park. Proceeds were donated to Little
Friends Foundation. According to BI Voice, "the festival attracted
the 
two
biggest international music stars in the island's history: David
Ball and Kenneth Lara AKA LORD LARO." Held on June 16th, 2007,
the event was a great success and raised the funds needed to complete
our budget for the new French Harbour Public Health Center.
Twenty women were nominated in the following catergories (four in
each category); Business, Community Service, Healthcare, Education
& Lifetime Achievement. March 22, 2007 at Turquoise Bay Resort
a benefit dinner to award these phenomonal women of Roatan took
place. The finalists were: Mary Monterroso(Business), Rosa Silvestri
(Community Service), Delia Jones (Healthcare), Sandra Jackson (Education)
and Ruth Hyde (Lifetime Achievement).
